73 - Tacit Victories

Courage to dare: killing then, courage not to dare: living then – these two might bene-fit, or harm.

 01-03

Heaven's dislike: actually, who would know its reason? Hence, even wise men find this difficult.

 04-06

Heaven’s Way: not competing, but best in winning, not speaking, but best in respon-ding, not calling, but letting come by itself, at ease thus certainly, but best in planning.

 07-10

Heaven's Net: vast and wide, wide-meshed, but impermeable.

 11-12

73 - Stille Siege

 11-12

**"1. Shima Kunio, p. 209, has argued that the segment

was not part of the Laozi in the Han dynasty but was included in the text before the Tang. The argument has received additional support from the two Mawangdui manuscripts, neither of which has the passage.  On the other hand, the evidence for this passage's being in Wang Bi's Laozi is solid. The quotation in Zhanag Zhan's Liezi zhu includes a reference to the Sage, and Lu Deming gives the pronunciation of two terms from the pasage about the Sage."
[Wáng Bì  王弼 / Wagner, 2003x p. 493, "numbered Text Notes"]. /

"1. Shima Kunio, p. 209, has argued that the segment / hat argumentiert, das das Segment

commentary:
"It is a fact that, if already the insight of the Sage 'considers difficult' the 'courage' 'to dare,' how much more
[will this be the case] for those lacking the insight of the Sage, but desiring to put into practice [what follows from] these [two statements in text 1 and 2]. That is why [the text] says: 'Already [the Sage] considers it difficult.' "!
[Wáng Bì  王弼 / Wagner, 2003x p. 367-368].

Kommentar:
"!  [Wáng Bì  王弼 / Wagner, 2003x p. 367-368].
